Exploring Life in Muğla

Hey there,

It’s been a while since I last wrote, and I’ve really missed it, so here I am, finally writing again. ✨
Welcome to my new blog space! I’ve decided to move everything here, a fresh chapter where I’ll share my daily life, inspirations, travels, and all those little stories that make life so special. I wanted a cozy corner that truly feels like me, and this new blog is exactly that. 💛

So, let’s begin right where I am now, in Turkey 😍
An incredible, spontaneous decision brought me here, and now I get to spend six months living in the beautiful town of Muğla as an ESC volunteer. Every morning I wake up to views of mountains and palm trees, and to the sound of the call to prayer echoing from the mosque.

I don’t understand Turkish at all (yet!), which somehow makes the whole experience even more real. I’m discovering the culture without filters, simply by feeling it. I’m living in a completely different rhythm now, no rushing, no chasing, just being, exploring, and soaking in the magic of this place.

I arrived at the beginning of September, which means my first month here is already around the corner. I’d love to share my stories, reflections, and photos with you, a mix of moments, discoveries, and daily joys I don’t want to forget.

Of course, as a true traveler, I’ve already gone on a few spontaneous trips into the unknown, from Istanbul to Fethiye, Marmaris, Didim, and Akyaka. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve seen. Stay tuned, because new posts are coming soon!

P.S. It’s still super warm here, around 24°C. Perfect weather to escape the winter and sip coffee under the sun. 🌞

☕ Question of the day: Vegetarianism in Turkey? Seems like it hasn’t really arrived yet… where can I find hummus and tofu? Hahaha!

📚 Word of the day: Anlaştık – “We agreed.” Such a beautiful, positive word!

✨ Fun fact: Yogurt actually comes from Turkey — who knew?y, and here they literally use it by the ton!
