On our way to Marina Yacht Club, we couldn\u2019t resist stopping for a hot flat white at Espressolab.<\/strong><\/a> The coffee was surprisingly good, even better than the ones I\u2019d tried in Coffy. They really know how to balance the taste of coffee with milk. We relaxed there for a while, surrounded by palm trees. The weather was unexpectedly perfect, around 25 degrees. It felt like an escape from the rain back in our city. We even found coconut milk, the first time I\u2019d seen it in my three months in Turkey, haha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our steps led us to the best part of Bodrum, the windmills<\/strong><\/a>. The road up passed an old prison, interestingly decorated with pictures of Atat\u00fcrk. It\u2019s a short hike, and with every step the sea and mountains reveal more of their beauty. At the top, the view was incredible, with little goats and sheep running around us. It felt magical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Going down was much faster. We stopped by G\u00fcmbet Beach<\/strong><\/a> and took a little swim because the water was perfect. We were having fun like little babies, not caring about anything or anyone. Just us, nature, and water flowing around our feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To end our little trip in the right way, we bought simit, the number one bakery snack in Turkey, simple but always tasty. And we had a margarita pizza at Fabbio\u2019s Pizzeria<\/strong><\/a>, which was actually really good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We drove back to our little town, and it welcomed us with cold rain, shit. And we, without any umbrellas, instead of getting sad, started running in the rain, laughing and smiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
