I pulled up the window shade, and before me lay the beautiful town of G\u00f6reme. The stunning, breathtaking rock formations looked even more magical in the soft pink morning light. I was mesmerized. I quickly packed my backpack and got off the FlixBus. The town itself is very small, true natural wonders are scattered around it. I left my backpack at the hotel reception and set off on my adventure. The weather was perfect, sunny and clear, no rain in sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I decided to hike to Love Valley. The map said it would take about an hour and a half. Easy! I bought some water and a few sweets for breakfast, then headed out. There wasn\u2019t a proper walking path, so I followed the bike route instead. The streets were quiet, no people, just a few cars passing by. Along the way, I admired the rock formations, roses, and other fascinating plants. Just before reaching Love Valley, I came across horses, dogs, and even camels. I stopped for a coffee with a beautiful view and gathered some energy for the next part of my journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On my way back, I stopped for my favorite salep, warm, comforting, and perfectly cinnamon-flavored. I took another short walk around the town, and soon after, my friend from Italy arrived. We checked into our Cappadocia Caves Hotel<\/strong><\/a>. In the evening, we decided to watch the sunset from one of the scenic viewpoints. The view was breathtaking, the town slowly drifted into sleep while the Turkish flag waved gently in the wind. The morning started with watching the hot air balloons. Again the sky looked like a dream, full of colors and floating shapes drifting over the valley. There\u2019s no better start to the day than a good breakfast, especially when it\u2019s shared with friends on a terrace overlooking all of Cappadocia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our plan for the day was quite full. We joined the Green Tour. At 10 a.m., a small bus picked us up from the hotel, and another adventure began. We visited places that are almost impossible to describe in words. Valleys that looked like something from another planet, colorful canyons, and an underground city that left me completely amazed. Walking down those narrow tunnels, knowing that centuries ago people actually lived and hid there, was such a powerful experience. Our guide was wonderful \u2013 knowledgeable, funny, and full of stories that made every stop even more special. And the views\u2026 every turn revealed something new, something that made me stop and just take it all in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the evening, tired but happy, we had dinner at a cozy Italian restaurant \u2013 Lalinda \u2013 Bistro & Grill<\/strong>.<\/a> It was our last night in Cappadocia. We were all ready for our hot air balloon flight, excited and full of energy, but the weather had other plans. The tour was canceled, and for a moment, we felt lost and disappointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But in moments like this, I like to trust my intuition. Things happen for a reason. We decided to take a different path: a relaxing morning with a bubble bath, jacuzzi, and a long, lazy breakfast. After that, it was time for some shopping. I found beautiful bracelets that will forever remind me of this magical place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the afternoon, we joined a perfume-making workshop<\/strong><\/a>, creating our own scents inspired by the flowers and air of Cappadocia. With a small bottle full of fragrance, we headed to our last lunch together in Old Cappadocia restaurant<\/a><\/strong>. We shared delicious hummus, pide, lahmacun, and sweet kunefe, all washed down with tea and ayran. I love these shared meals, they always feel like a warm hug for the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Later, after saying goodbye to part of our group, we went to watch the sunset in Rose Valley. I had never seen a sky so beautiful. We climbed between the rock formations, soaking in every shade of pink and gold.
